  • Phyllis Carter - If the people of America really were "united" and "democratic", I would not hesitate to say Donald Trump is a joke. But then, Hitler "The Little Corporal" was also a joke.

    And the olde south, the KKK, the Free Masons, the NRA and other organizations ensure that "The United States" as we wish it was - is not.

    The movies gave us images of an ideal land where people could work their way up from the mud to a dream life if they were honest and worked hard and behaved properly and belonged to the right churches.

    The ideal is now recognized as a tragedy and a lie. Perhaps a dream, a wish, a hope. But not today. Today America is fractured and full of greed, inequality, bigotry, hate, dishonesty, corruption - and tragedy.
