IF WE FORGET HISTORY, WE ARE DOOMED TO REPEAT IT.

I worry about Bernie Sanders.

 

We remember Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King, Bobby Kennedy, President John F. Kennedy,

But until I watched AMERICAN EXPERIENCE on PBS yesterday, I knew nothing about President James Garfield.

 

Beloved by the common people, Garfield did the impossible, speaking up for the rights of the common people INCLUDING people of colour.

 

It took only one lunatic "obeying the voice of God" to end his life.
