Thai authorities, have caught a dog meat seller in the act. Acting on a tip-off from a concerned member of the public, the arrest took place in Sakolnakorn province, in north-eastern Thailand.
The seller was caught in the process of barbecuing a deceased dog, which he planned to sell later. The man was taken into custody and is now facing animal cruelty charges. The body of one dog and 2.4 kg of dog meat were seized as evidence.
The criminal in question will face charges of animal cruelty under Thailand's Animal Welfare Law, as well as being charged under the Contagious Diseases Act.
