Lawyers always win
Victims usually lose.
Police hide behind the
"Blue Line".
Criminals have all the rights.
We call our society, "democratic",
But our laws benefit the rich,
And the clever,
The shrewd,
And the greedy,
The most cruel
And the wicked.
And so, we have
"Statutes of Limitation"
That benefit criminals,
And lawyers,
And outlast victims.
You plead for justice day and night,
Month after month,
Year after year:
And then
"They"
Who hold your fate in their
Powerful fists,
Tell you -
"You are too late for justice."
But some of us
Will not quit.
