For decades the tobacco barons kept denying that tobacco causes cancer. The evidence was there for years, but the filthy rich tobacco industrialists kept finding ways to continue killing people. For decades the nuclear industry and those who support them for fun and profit have been telling us that nuclear energy is safe ... while people who get radiated keep dying of cancer.

In a study conducted in 2009, one of this article's authors (Janette Sherman) found the highest rates of thyroid cancer occurring within 90-mile radiuses of the 16 nuclear power plants (13 still operating) in those states."
