PAKISTAN - COURAGEOUS WOMEN LEAD THE WAY TO JUSTICE

At 12, Kainat was kidnapped, gang-raped and held hostage for three days in Pakistan. After she escaped, she and her family filed a complaint and went on a 19 day hunger strike, refusing to eat until the police accepted her report. Despite threats and attacks on her family, Kainat refused to drop the charges. Today, she is among a fearless group of young women around the world who are speaking out against injustice and rebelling against the status quo.
