Dadri lynching a pre-planned murder: Asaduddin #Owaisi...
DADRI: All India Itthadul Majlis-e-Itthadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi met the family of Mohammed Ikhlaq who was lynched over rumours of eating beef, on Friday. He assured them of his support and said that the guilty must be severly punished.
Criticizing the state and the central government for 'inaction', Owaisi claimed that the incident was a pre-planned murder. "The killing was not an accident but was pre-planned. You cannot barge into a house and assault people there," he said. "This is the mind-set that is against the concept of secularism in India."
Owaisi demanded that immediate action must be taken against those accused of carrying out the heinous crime. "Whoever is responsible for this must be punished. I demand that all those identified as accused should be arrested immediately and should get strict punishment," he said.
The ruling Samajwadi Party (SP) has assured a thorough investigation into the matter but Owaisi accused the state government of not moving in the right direction. "SP is getting a forensic test on the meat instead of punishing the accused," said the MP from Hyderabad. " Instead of testing the meat, they (SP) should get their brains tested."
Owaisi also expressed disappointment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's silence on the matter. "He could have at least tweeted about the incident and condemned it. His party says 'India First' but these words should be put into action."
