When watching television,
If your gut churns,
And your skin bristles,
And you feel a savage drive
That makes you want to kill,
Consider what it is you are watching
If it is fiction, a movie,
A murder mystery,
A tale of betrayal, rape and cruelty,
Remember that the villain
Is just an actor,
Playing a despicable character.
But if it is the News you are watching,
That is reality,
And you must restrain yourself,
Lest you get dangerous ideas.
