We have to rethink the whole western system of government and law. We just make additions and changes. We need to review the whole system, because it stinks and criminals are enjoying the benefits while the innocent are suffering in despair.
Democracy is basically rule by the majority. But, as we see today, western democracy is about rule by the ultra rich.
Nor is the solution rule by the many, because the many are not the best, the wisest, the kindest. The many are not the solution.
We need to put wise and good people in power, not to rule over us, but to make good choices, to do justice, to offer ideas and not compromise on decency for the sake of expediency and profit. We need great minds and kind hearts.
