I was amazed and thrilled to find that Gabriel Jacob a contributor at FACEBOOK - Montreal Then and Now - was able to capture this movie clip from the National Film Board's 1947 film, Montreal By Night. My father, George Rubin is seen serving the public at The Crossroads of the Nation, Metropolitan News at 1248 Peel Street as he did for 37 years. You can see me at age eleven at the left of the picture.
