As It Happens has received a sneak preview of Amnesty International's upcoming report on human rights abuses in Iran. Part of that study will focus on a graphic novel that was published in response to the 2009 protests in that country. The work was created by "Amir" , an Iranian dissident, and is entitled "Zahra's Paradise".

Phyllis Carter     HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSES IN IRAN ?  Look closer to home.

I AM OFFERING A FIVE THOUSAND DOLLAR - $5,000. - REWARD FOR INFORMATION LEADING TO THE ARREST AND CONVICTION OF DAWN MCSWEENEY AND THE RETURN OF EVERYTHING SHE STOLE FROM ME AND FROM MY FAMILY WITH THE HELP OF THE MONTREAL POLICE AND THOSE SHE BOASTFULLY CALLS HER "PARTNERS IN CRIME" ON HER OWN BLOG.

Marlene Jennings, MP, stated at two public meetings in Montreal -
"Mrs. Carter's rights were violated three times".

I was attacked and robbed in my home
with the help of a Montreal Police officer.

I was condemned in absentia in four minutes
by a judge who never met me, never spoke to me,
without any evidence.
