CANADA SUPPORTING HAITIAN POLICE WHILE THE PEOPLE SUFFER !

(AFP) – Canada will build a new headquarters for Haiti's national police after the original was destroyed in the January 12 earthquake, Foreign Minister Lawrence Cannon announced Thursday. The 9.5-million dollar construction project will "augment the capability of Haiti's national police to coordinate their daily activities" such as stemming "violence, smuggling and human trafficking," he told a press conference. http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/haitiquakeaidcanadapolice.

Fancy police offices won't protect the people of Haiti from disease, hunger or even from lawlessness.

The Haitian Police could live in tents or Quonset huts if they did their job honestly. But history shows that is not what happens in Haiti. Canada is feeding the wrong people by sponsoring that building. How many disaster victims could you feed, how many vials of medicine could you provide with NINE POINT FIVE MILLION DOLLARS ! Shame again, Mr. Harper ! Who is it you are really helping with this massive gift to the Haitian Police? This has an awful bad smell.
