How I wish you could extend this to advertising and programming. Why is no one upset that so many ads are cruel and disrespectful - people stealing food from each other and from their children to demonstrate that the product is desirable. And why do I have to wince before changing analog channels - never knowing if I may be slapped in the eye by someone's naked bottom. If people want porn, they ought to have to ask for it and pay for it. It should not be thrust upon normal people looking for news or a good movie. Did I say a "good movie"? There are still good movies, but somehow the producers feel that raw sex and vulgarity must be included to capture the money that is given freely by parents to the great consumers - lame-brained kids. Because the young have the money, they decide what the products will be. We are in BIG trouble. I love freedom and art but the pendulum has swung too far.
