Breaking the Silence.

"They take the best of the youth, the guys who most want to enlist and be Zionist poster boys and the title and to go on with their Israeli pride and patriotism, and they use them, and exploit all their values and education to make them blind to what they're really doing, which is violently repressing an entire nation" (lieutenant, Nahal brigade, 2015)

 

When we sing Hatikvah, our national anthem, we repeat these words: "to be a free people in our land." We do so from a deep belief that we must celebrate our right to be a free people.

 

But freedom of one people can not come at the expense of another's. And so long as the occupation continues, neither Palestinians nor Israelis can be free. That is exactly what must change. Not tomorrow or next year, but now.

 

So also today, and especially today - we wish everyone independence, and independence for everyone.

THE SILENT MAJORITY ARE COMPLICIT OUT OF FEAR AND ANGER. THEY ARE ALLOWING HURT, HATE AND GREED TO LEAD THEM - AND USING "GOD" AS AN EXCUSE FOR THEIR CRIMES - ON BOTH SIDES.

 

PUNISH THE GUILTY, PROTECT THE INNOCENT. DON'T LOOK AT RACE OR RELIGION. JUSTICE DEMANDS THAT THE PUNISHMENT MUST FIT THE CRIME - NO MORE, NO LESS. IT MUST APPLY TO A PERSON'S ACTIONS, NOT HIS RELIGION OR HIS NATIONALITY.

ANYONE WHO WAS RAISED IN A GOOD JEWISH HOME KNOWS RIGHT FROM WRONG. DON'T LET FEAR AND HATE CONTROL YOUR ACTIONS. IF YOU ARE A NORMAL PERSON WITH A NORMAL BRAIN, YOU MUST HAVE JUDGEMENT, COURAGE AND CONSCIENCE.

SPEAK UP FOR JUSTICE. THAT MEANS JUSTICE FOR EVERYONE.
