PEOPLE WRITE ABOUT FINDING GOD IN THE MIDST OF THEIR DARKNESS. I HAD THAT EXPERIENCE AFTER MY DARLING HUSBAND, CLIFF CARTER, DIED AND I GOT CANCER AND I WAS HOMELESS AND DESTITUTE AND THEN I WAS ATTACKED AND ROBBED - WITH THE HELP OF A MONTREAL POLICE OFFICER. AND THROUGH THE DECADES OF TROUBLES, IN SPITE OF MY DOUBTS, I PRAY CONSTANTLY.
GOD IS CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE MIND.
AS WE STRUGGLE WITH OUR FEARS, OUR PAINS, OUR FRUSTRATION, OUR GRIEF, OUR SORROW, OUR OUTRAGE, OUR HELPLESSNESS, OUR BRAINS TRY TO ESCAPE. IF WE DECIDE TO BELIEVE THERE IS A GOD WHO CARES, IT CAN BE COMFORTING. THAT DOESN'T MAKE A LOVING GOD REAL. IT JUST HELPS US TO KEEP GOING.
GOD IS CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE MIND. THAT'S A COMFORT.
