My dear friends,

Please accept my very best wishes for a happy, healthy and successful new year. In all your endeavours, may you be able to count on the support of your family, friends, community and country – Canada, the envy of the whole world.

In this 18th consecutive year as your Member of Parliament, I will continue to help you with any issues you may have. I will support you in your community, be your voice in Ottawa and keep striving to make Canada a country we can all continue to be proud of – a generous, tolerant and open country, one that builds its strength on the many contributions of people originating from the whole world.

Armed with your trust, I will strive to bring about the changes we need to make our businesses more competitive, our jobs more rewarding and plentiful, our natural environment healthier and our disadvantaged better able to share in our prosperity.

Here in Saint-Laurent – Cartierville, our condensed United Nations, let us pull together and give the world a lesson in solidarity. Let us show more than plain tolerance: let us be truly open to one another so that we can learn together about the goodness, fairness and universal values that are in each one of us.

May 2014 be a great year for you all!
