IT TOOK HALF A CENTURY TO RECOVER THIS PAINTING STOLEN BY THE NAZIS

This painting of Adele Bloch Bauer by Gustave Klimt was one of millions of treasures stolen from Jewish families by the Nazis. 

In Europe, the Nazis were the law then.

It took more than fifty years for the Altmann family to recover their paintings from the Austrians.

I have been fighting for the return of my own treasures stolen by Dawn McSweeney - with the help of the Montreal Police - on October 7, 1996. 

In Canada, the Montreal Police are the law now.
