Israeli Prime Minister, Binyamin Netanyahu said today that the "Arab Spring" movement is anti-western, anti liberal and anti-democratic.
But if the Islamists were to vote in the countries now under siege internally, they might well elect leaders "democratically". They might win impressive majorities in some of the countries now in conflict with their own populations.
When most people in the west use the word, "democracy", I am certain they do not stop to think at all about what the word means.

Democracy by the majority means that the rapist, the thief, the drug addict. who has just mugged an old woman in the street, the lunatic, the prisoner and the terrorist have the same vote as the professor, the kindergarten teacher, the grandmother, the scientist, the minister, the care giver and the physician.

Binyamin Netanyahu has launched a scathing attack on the uprisings in the Middle East, saying that Arab countries are "moving not forward, but backward" and support from the US and European countries was naive.
