Who gave religious leaders the right to decide how we should conduct our lives ? They are not gods. If people choose to accept their interpretation or their will, that is up to them. But no human being has the right to decide what others should believe.
Long ago, someone commanded the separation of church and state. Now we have religious leaders getting into politics all over the world and trying to control the lives of people who do not vote for them. We are facing a tyranny of churches and cults.
Will the people accept a return to the Dark Ages? Will we see Catholics or Mormons or some other religious power putting women in chains and watching them until they give birth?
Will we see again a time when women will be tried as witches and killed if they dare to think and speak?
Far-fetched?
Look at the Middle East and North Africa.
Human beings are capable of all sorts of insanity -
And if deranged people manage to attain power,
Anything is possible.
