I watch primitive tribes in rural Africa on PBS. And I watch the customers on the Maury Povitch Show on Fox TV.
Our modern citizens rant and stomp across the TV set, their fists flailing at those with whom they contend, with hatred spewing from the wide open orifices in their faces like raw sewage.
At the same time, our most ancient relatives in Africa, sitting in the shade of a clump of trees in the middle of darkest nowhere, are quiet, elegant, dignified, respectful of each other and welcoming to curious strangers bearing cameras.
"Progress" based on the artificial medium of money moves at a higher and higher intensity day and night, feeding on human greed and our blindness to reality.
So who is really "civilized" ?
