^{In my fifteen years of searching for a hero to bring me justice, I have yet to find one lawyer in Montreal, Quebec, Canada who is willing to recover my stolen belongings and bring the thief, Dawn McSweeney and her partners in crime before a judge in criminal court unless I first cross his palm with thousands of dollars. They will not wait to do justice before reaping their generous reward.}

¹⁶ When the men got up to leave, they looked down toward Sodom, and Abraham walked along with them to see them on their way. ¹⁷ Then the Lord said, "Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do? ¹⁸ Abraham will surely become a great and powerful nation, and all nations on earth will be blessed through him.^{[c] 19} For I have chosen him , so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing what is right and just, so that the Lord will bring about for Abraham what he has promised him."

²⁰ Then the Lord said, "The outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin so grievous ²¹ that I will go down and see if what they have done is as bad as the outcry that has reached me. If not, I will know."

²² The men turned away and went toward Sodom, but Abraham remained standing before the Lord.^{[d] 23} Then Abraham approached him and said: "Will you sweep away the righteous with the wicked? ²⁴ What if there are fifty righteous people in the city? Will you really sweep it away and not spare^[e] the place for the sake of the fifty righteous people in it? ²⁵ Far be it from you to do such a thing —to kill the righteous with the wicked, treating the righteous and the wicked alike. Far be it from you! Will not the Judge of all the earth do right?"

²⁶ The Lord said, "If I find fifty righteous people in the city of Sodom, I will spare the whole place for their sake. "

²⁷ Then Abraham spoke up again: "Now that I have been so bold as to speak to the Lord, though I am nothing but dust and ashes, ²⁸ what if the number of the righteous is five less than fifty? Will you destroy the whole city for lack of five people?"

"If I find forty-five there," he said, "I will not destroy it."

²⁹ Once again he spoke to him, "What if only forty are found there?"

He said, "For the sake of forty, I will not do it."

³⁰ Then he said, "May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak. What if only thirty can be found there?"

He answered, "I will not do it if I find thirty there."

³¹ Abraham said, "Now that I have been so bold as to speak to the Lord, what if only twenty can be found there?"

He said, "For the sake of twenty, I will not destroy it."

³² Then he said, "May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak just once more. What if only ten can be found there?"

He answered, "For the sake of ten, I will not destroy it."

³³ When the Lord had finished speaking with Abraham, he left, and Abraham returned home.

PLEDGE: POISONED AND KILLED FOR COSMETICS..the cruelty suffered by many innocent animals.

 

Compassionate consumers must use their purchasing power to send a strong message to cosmetics manufacturers that testing on animals is cruel and unacceptable. Whether it happens at a cosmetics company or inside a secretive contract laboratory somewhere in the world, cosmetics testing on animals is tragic. It's an ind...ustry in which evaluating a new formulation of a skin cream is more important than the suffering of hundreds of animals and in which painful and archaic tests claim the lives of thousands for little more reason than improving a product's market share. Unfortunately, if industry lobbyists have their way, a ban that would remove animal-tested cosmetics from store shelves may soon be overturned, opening the door for thousands of rabbits, mice and other animals to be killed in cosmetics tests. Please help animals like them before it's too late. Cosmetics tests are hell for the thousands of animals confined to cages in laboratories. Pregnant animals are force-fed chemical ingredients to see if they cause deformities in their babies, and chronic tests involve feeding animals chemicals over months – or even years – causing pain, seizures, paralysis and death. All this misery is for something as insignificant as hair dye or mascara. Less than a decade ago, PETA helped win a major victory for animals when the European Union agreed to ban all animal tests for cosmetics within the EU by March 2009 and to ban EU sales of all cosmetics tested on animals anywhere in the world by March 2013. But now the European Commission is considering delaying the last stage of the ban, perhaps even indefinitely. If the delay is proposed, members of the European Parliament and governments of all EU member states will still have to agree to it, but the consequences of losing that vote following pressure from massive cosmetics companies would be disastrous for animals. We must not let industry forces reverse the ban on the sale of animal-tested cosmetics! Delaying the ban would mean that huge cosmetics companies like L'Oréal and Procter & Gamble would still be permitted to test ingredients on many thousands of individual animals outside Europe for products sold within Europe. Animal testing for cosmetics currently takes place in countries such as the US, where rats and mice basically have no legal protections, and China, where animal welfare standards are lower still. More than 75,000 supporters from around the world have already sent the European Commission messages in support of putting the ban in place, and PETA's experts have met with the European Commissioner to directly press for the same. Through your support today, we can put more pressure on UK and EU decision makers to keep their word and let the ban go into effect. Thank you for speaking out for the thousands of rabbits, guinea pigs, rats and other animals who need us right now to put an end to the terrible pain and suffering caused by cosmetics testing. I was attacked by my own mother and removed from my home by a Montreal Police officer, and robbed of all my life's most precious belongings - because I had chosen to be baptized. 

 

My mother was persuaded by my niece, Dawn McSweeney, that I was the enemy because I had betrayed the faith. My mother believed Dawn to be a virtuous Jewish girl. That misguided belief destroyed our family.

 

My mother had taught Dawn a whole other kind of Yiddishkeit that included crystals, tea leaves, spirits and telepathic beings who landed their flying saucer in our back yard. But I was treated as the enemy because I was Christian. Truly I have never been more Jewish than I have been since I became Christian. It all came together for me, but it was really painful for my mother, and Dawn used that to destroy me.

 

After thirteen years, I am still fighting for justice - alone. Alone. Because no one has the courage or the integrity to stand with me. No one wants to get involved. It is so easy to ignore this voice crying alone in this jungle of injustice. So easy to ignore what is clearly the truth. So easy to say "It is not my jurisdiction, not my responsibility and, anyway - you are too late for justice".

 

So I fight on, day and night, to my last breath - alone. But I fight anyway. Because it is right to do so, and I do not know how to live without justice.

Meanwhile, Dawn McSweeney and her self-proclaimed "partners in crime" are still free to enjoy everything they have stolen from me and from our family - Because no one really cares about justice. It is an archaic concept in our society. And still, I fight.
