President Obama, true to the image we saw before his first election, is a man of principle. A moral, ethical, intelligent man.
Politics has no room for such a man. Politics loves men like Richard Nixon and George Bush the Second. Politics wants dirt, greed, cleverness, not ethics and morals.
I can't see anyone in Syria who would be a friend to Canada, the USA or Israel. Why spend millions and risk lives of the allies to help people who don't want our help?
Let them fight it out among themselves and pay the consequences.
Send food and medicine for the civilians and wait for the Syrians to decimate themselves. Then, of course, they will blame us for not helping them do it.
Damned if we do. Damned if we don't. But at least spare our allies from wasting precious resources when there are so many needy in the world, afar and at home.
Barack Obama deserves our respect. He is a thoughtful man, a good man.
